First call for abstract submission
We invite you to take part in the 5th World’s Large Rivers Conference to be held in Vienna, Austria, from 21 to 25 August 2023. The International Conference on „The Status and Future of the World’s Large Rivers“ provides a global forum for a wide-ranging discussion of key issues related to research on large rivers and to their effective and sustainable management, involving both scientists and decision makers. The central theme of this conference is “Rivers in a Changing World” with 4 key topics and several sub-topics. Your active participation will be the basis of this conference and we look forward to receiving your contributions! The deadline for abstract submission is extended to the 28 February 2023. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed and we will inform contributors if their abstract has been selected by the end of February 2023. Please contact us here should you have any questions regarding the conference.
Guidelines for abstract submission
Your abstract must be submitted through the Online Submission Form on this webpage. Each author can submit a maximum of 2 abstracts. Please note that only one author can be the presenter. Also note that for the abstract to be included in the congress, the presenting author of each accepted abstract must be fully registered at the indicated time. Your abstract must be inserted in the text box of the Online Submission Form. Your abstract cannot be more than 450 words. Please make sure you select the theme with the subtheme to which your abstract belongs as well as your presenting preference. Please note that the Scientific Committee reserves the right to decide on the final form of the presentation. A submission receipt is automatically sent to the corresponding author right after submission. Should you not receive this email, please contact the Technical Secretariat, so we can make sure your submission went through.
After that it is NOT necessary to write a proceeding. The acceptance of the abstract alone is prerequisite to present at the conference.
Note: If you attend all three Vienna Water Conferences (combined ticket), the maximum number is increased to a maximum of 3 abstracts.
