Mr. Harreiter has a university degree in Water Resources Management from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and joined VERBUND in 1993. He has experiences in the fields of Hydro Power, Environment, Water Resources Management, Project Management, Organisational Development, Asset Management and Emergency Response Management. He has managed many national and international projects and company departments in different locations. Since 2014, Herfried is responsible for maintenance coordination and asset management of all hydro power utilities operated by VERBUND. He is also active in national and international associations (Eurelectric, Oesterreichs Energie, BDEW, ÖWAV).
